… but with many groups and clubs run by and for students…

… and resources for entrepreneurs… Resources for practice, networking, bridging the gap. Last click is TLO.

… and we work with the public sector to attract companies… Important to the city, state, MIT endowment. MIT works directly with all these groups, especially the City of Cambridge.

…but in the end, success is the product of… Supporting a culture of disruptive innovation Creating a multitude of connections between individuals of different types Encouraging them to pursue their personal dreams Here is one story among many…

The LiquiGlide story: from MIT PhD thesis to startup; with lots of help along the way.

The people and the ecosystem Kripa Varanasi receives PhD (Mech. E.) from MIT. 2008 Kripa joins MIT faculty after working for GE Global Research. Dave Smith starts his PhD in Kripa’s lab: Funding from NSF, DOD. Dave and team participate in iTeams (Engineering + Business students class). 2012 Dave and team participate in the MIT Venture Mentoring Service. “Audience choice” award ($2K) at MIT $100K Entrepreneurial contest: Ketchup bottle video goes viral on YouTube. LiquiGlide team take “Founder’s Skills Accelerator” program at MIT Entrepreneurship Center, where team meets Angel Investor Colin Gounden. Top prize ($100K) in MassChallenge annual startup contest (1300 entrants). 2014 First Venture Capital financing, negotiated by Colin.
