Pacification: the act of forcibly surpressing or eliminating a population considered to be hostile. Watch the video on what is being done to improve Rio’s favelas. Fill in the questions on your worksheet- they are in order during the video. For each type of management mentioned in the video, fill in the pros/cons table to help determine which is more effective.
