* 07/16/96 Understanding Taxes Exemptions, Forms and Filing Requirements for Fraternal Units Responsibility for filing the correct forms and assuring that the proper taxes are paid goes beyond the Administrator. Other officers, Trustees and Auditing Committee members must verify that these tasks are being done. The last of the training modules is one that I highly recommend for all lodge officers and members of your lodge’s auditing committee. As the responsibility for filing the correct forms and assuring that the proper taxes are paid goes beyond the Administrator. Other officers, Trustees and Auditing Committee members must verify that these tasks are being done.

Understanding Taxes (Con’t) * 07/16/96 Understanding Taxes (Con’t) The primary target audience for the Tax training session is Administrators, Governors, Treasurers and Auditing Committee members. That group signs the checks, or provides the “checks and balances” to prevent problems with tax filings and payments. However, any lodge officer, committee chairman or any interested member of the Order is welcome to attend.
