CLUE Use Cases 02 – comments and proposal Interim meeting February 2012 Gyubong Oh

Presentation Use Case Presentation in CLUE Audio/Video streams+ Presentation stream Video presentation control H.323 system – H.239 SIP system, BFCP (Binary Floor Control Protocol) [RFC4582] for presentation token. Single presentation stream

Presentation Use Case Analysis Proposal Limitation of BFCP Single presentation support Limited interaction i.e. half-duplex Organizer manages all presentation control No dynamic, simultaneous interaction in current Presentation Requirement REQMT-15: The solution MUST support mechanisms for presentations in such a way that: Presentations can have different sources Presentations can be seen by all There can be variation in placement, number and size of presentations Proposal Presentation can be managed by all, in dynamic. Use Case Scenario of the proposal the manager and his assistant may want to draft their document on presentation under the telepresence environment. If both can work it in a real-time on the same document, it absolutely provides the effectiveness.

Multiple Devices Use Cases Previously, Per-Device (e.g. handheld, phone, PC etc) media rendering based on the resolution/bandwidth Requirement for Use case heterogeneous and multipoint. REQMT-10: The solution MUST make it possible for endpoints without support for telepresence extensions to participate in a telepresence session with those that do. REQMT-11: The solution MUST support a mechanism for determining whether or not an endpoint or MCU is capable of telepresence extensions. REQMT-12: The solution MUST support a means to enable more than two sites to participate in a teleconference. Analysis No multiple streams handling Use case heterogeneous and multipoint covers telepresence extenstions No way to distribute multiple media streams under multiple devices Proposal Media steam distribution by MCU or endpoint during telepresnece session Use Case Scenario of the proposal If the user wants to get two media stream at each device, MCU or endpoint sends AV streams to mobile and presentation to PC.
