The Pearl WebQuest

STEP ONE The setting (time and place) of The Pearl, by John Steinbeck, takes place in La Paz, Mexico on the Baja Peninsula in the early 1900s. Your task (alone, in a pair or group of 3) is to research various aspects that relate to the book. Do not just copy and paste from websites!

STEP 2 Fill the poster with: images with captions You are to display your findings in an interesting and informative way that can be displayed in the classroom (posters). Fill the poster with: images with captions facts (evidence) use your summaries commentary (your own thoughts) headings/subheadings Free choice (be creative) Leave no blank spaces. Fill the page! DUE _____ !

Summary Make a final visual (poster). This is an assignment in which you may work alone, with a partner, or a group of three. Research, synthesize (put together) the information, and display it in an interesting manner. Make a final visual (poster). You should have a time keeper or organizer (to keep focused and on task). Remember working within a group is difficult and stressful. Make wise choices and be prepared for any obstacle. Do not have one person responsible for holding all of the information. Everyone must have access to the group’s findings & progress of the work at hand.
