Background and Context 1.Background of BELTEI INTERNATIONAL UNIVESITY. – BELTEI INTERNATION UNIVERISTY is a private university in Cambodia. 2.Background of the Pedagogy Program – Pedagogy is a six months modular courses offered to enhance the teaching skills of participants 3.BELTEI IU offers the Pedagogy Program To enhance the teaching skills of school teachers

Statement of the Problem Some BELTEI IU students are doubtful of the quality of Pedagogy program. They wonder if the program helps them to improve their efficacy in teaching their respective skills. They complain of some difficulties of the program while some could do really well. Some drop out of the program. Students have different perspectives towards the pedagogy program

Research Questions 1.Does the pedagogy program help to increase trainees’ teaching efficacy? 2.What are the challenges encountered by trainees during the program? 3.Based on trainees’ perspectives, what are the effective ways to improve the teaching and training process of the pedagogy program?

Research Objectives 1.To determine if the pedagogy program help to increase trainees’ teaching efficacy. 2.Investigate the challenges encountered by trainees during the program. 3.To identify effective ways to improve the teaching and learning process of the pedagogy program based on trainees’ perspectives?

Significance of the Study Research adds to the trainees' knowledge, skills and attitude. It also contribute to important knowledge to the program. It helps to improve teaching and learning process. The result of the research will be used by BELTEI Management to make necessary changes on the Pedagogy program.

Definitions of Key Terms Pedagogy – Teaching methods or Techniques to teach or Teaching methodologies. Perception :- The understanding or way of thinking form the external point of view.

Limitation and Scope of the Study Focus on only the pedagogy program offered by BELTEI IU Based on Students perception and other records to measure the efficacy of trainees’ teaching. Includes only ESL and GED Teachers Mixed method is used for the research
