Appointment /Responsibility Chairman is appointment by Maryland State Governor Larry Hogan. Members must clear the Governors appointment committee. Confirmed & sworn in by the Maryland State Senate. Serve a 4 year term on the Commission. Meet bi-monthly around the State. Responsibility to assure that the Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) 13B laws and other Maryland laws are adhered to when conducting Emergency Training and Education programs in the State of Maryland. Review Federal Programs. Un Paid State Officials. Must attend 50% of all Maryland Fire & Rescue Education & Training Meetings a year.
