We invited students, their parents, members of the Parents’ Council, the School Board and representatives of the local community to the opening ceremony of our Erasmus+ project “Young Enterprising Europenas.” It was on Tuesday, the 8th of November 2016 at 5 p.m.

Together with the Art teacher, students decorated the school Together with the Art teacher, students decorated the school. They displayed some logo designs and the poster with the basic information about partner countries.

Visitors could also buy products of our school cooperative “Perunika” , our school magazine and the final product of our previous project – the book “Our Guide for Future”.

Our headmistress, Mrs. Adrijana Cvrković-Lasić, talked about the project, its partners, goals and activities. The project will last two years, students will learn about characteristics of entrepreneurial people and learn how to start and run their own mini company. They will also grow herbs and vegetables and learn about healthy food.

Art teacher explained students what logo should look like and English teacher informed them about partner countires and activities. Tghe best logos were taken the meeting in Poland and teachers from five partner countires decided that the best logo was the one created by Ana Ešegović , a student of Osnovna škola Bartola Kašića. Ana also got a diploma and a prize.

School choir and orchestra performed three songs about communicating in foreign languages, working together and about the importance of love.

Klara, Ana and Ivona recited three poems in English: “We are the children of this world” “Have a dream” “I love reading”

Ante Čengić prepared an interesting presentation about partner countries, towns, schools and famous people.

“Šumari”, a well-known folk dance ensemble, contributed to our celebration. The youngest group performed traditional children’s games from Croatian regions Međimurje and Posavina. They also performed folk songs and dances and were accompanied by the orchestra.

As successful entrepreneurs we must also take care of the environment and save the planet for the future generations. Ivona Farago performed a monologue “Mother Earth”.

Newspaper reporters and the local TV crew also came to the opening ceremony .
