HOW DO ORGANELLES WORK TOGETHER?

Example of working together…. Apple tree and a human Apple tree gets watered by human Human gets apples from apple tree Malfunction: human stops watering tree Effect: tree stops making apples Humans then receive no apples.

NUCLEUS AND RIBOSOME Nucleus holds genetic information (DNA) and instructions for protein synthesis Ribosomes synthesize proteins

MITOCHONDRIA/RIBOSOME Mitochondria produces ATP (energy) for the cell Ribosomes need energy to produce proteins.

CHLOROPLAST/MITOCHONDRIA Chloroplasts makes glucose (food) for plant. Glucose (food) is broken down in mitochondria to make energy (ATP) for the plant. ENERGY GLUCOSE

CELL MEMBRANE/MITOCHONDRIA Cell membrane allows oxygen and glucose to transport into the cell. Oxygen and glucose are needed in the mitochondria to synthesize energy (ATP).

What would happen if….. Any of the organelles MALFUNCTIONED… MALFUNTION: STOP WORKING
