Background (Past) Created as a Member Service of the Ontario Good Roads Association (OGRA) in 1997. Designed to consolidate information about products, services, standards and technical solutions used in Ontario Public Works. Provides MTO and municipalities with the technology to manage their pre-qualified products & documents lists. MTO seeded TRA with Designated Sources of Material (DSM) products.

TRA Today (Present) TRA continues to publish the MTO DSM and the Durham Region Approved Products Lists. TRA has over 600 member companies and over 10,000 products listed - a central repository for product information. Achieving Product Management Committee (PMC) classification is a priority for most companies. The PMC is a panel of technical experts that review and classify each product using a consistent process.
