The glagolitic script In the past we had Glagolitic alphabet (“Glagoljica”). We don’t use it today. We use the Latin alphabet. This is the Croatian alphabet.

That’s Nika wearing a necktie!  ...that the necktie was invented in Croatia? That’s Nika wearing a necktie! 

The parachute Faust Vrančić invented the parachute (similar to the one we use today) and many other things we use today. Here is the picture.

The zeppelin The torpedo and the zeppelin were also invented in Croatia. David Schwarz invented the “Zeppelin” (an aluminum airplane filled with gas)

Nikola Tesla Nikola Tesla is a very famous and genious Croatian inventor who changed the world with his inventions. His most famous inventions are the alternating current (electricity), the radio, the laser, the electric motor and many, many more. Did you know that without him, we would have no wi-fi?!?

The Dalmatian The Dalmatian breed of dog comes from southern Croatian region of Dalmatia (this is why the dogs are called Dalmatians)
