BAYHOST supports internationalization of science according to the goals of the Bavarian government internationalization strategies of the university associations (Hochschule Bayern e.V. und Universität Bayern e.V.) promotion and intensification of cooperation between Bavarian universities and partners in Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe (CEE)  by advice, funding and networking conferences

Additional measures Advertising studies in Bavaria  e.g. summer courses, block seminars  enhance affinity for German as a foreign language Encouraging students in Bavaria to discover CEE internships, scholarships  Offers also for students of science and engineering

Additional measures Focus on regions with high scientific potential and – by now – limited connections to Bavaria  Russia, Ukraine, Western Balkans  Dissemination of knowledge on CEE  Insight into the university and research landscape in CEE Coordination with university associations and foundations (e.g. Bavarian Research Alliance, DAAD) in order to improve counselling, identify demands and set priorities
