Welcome to High School Class of 2016!!

What’s in it for me? Learning goal: Students will be able to understand how high school is different than middle school and what they need to know and do to be successful. What’s new? High School graduation requirements Testing GPA PAC Plan (EPEP) Duel Enrollment Volunteer Hours

Types of Classes Intensive Honors AP When a student receives a 1 or a 2 on the FCAT reading or math, they are placed into Intensive reading and/or math courses. More advanced and rigorous. Look at GPA, previously earned grades and FCAT for placement. 1 Extra quality point towards GPA Rigorous Critical thinking Can earn college credits 85% of students who take AP classes are successful in college whether or not they pass the exam. 2 extra quality points Types of Classes Intensive Honors Advanced Placement (AP)
