PARENT INFORMATION MEETING GYM NIGHT 2017 PARENT INFORMATION MEETING

Organization of Exhibitions Must be approved before the start of practices! Dance Preview! Additional changes must be RE-APPROVED. No Flying Off site practices/or giving out costumes can not be held without a supervising teacher. Exhibition Times: 12th 12 minutes (2 square dancing) 11th 10 minutes 10th 10 minutes 9th 7 minutes

PROPS PROPS: MEASUREMENTS: HEIGHT: 10 feet LENGTH: 6 feet WIDTH: 6 feet All props MUST HAVE 4” wheels on them. Keep in mind spectators. Can go beyond only in the dance Lights of any kind are not permitted on costumes, in exhibitions, on props, or decorations. (EXCEPT GLOW-STICKS)

PROPS Seniors: 2 Props 10th & 11th :1 Prop Must be approved by the supervisor! The prop dimensions will not fit through the outside/gym doors.

DECORATIONS Bleachers and Gymnasium only. At the close of the Thursday a photos will be taken. Balloons only thing hung after Thursday. Posters should be made prior to hanging. REMINDER! The mural is not your only decoration that is being judged.

The Mural/Art Supervisor Final draft/Program cover must be approved by both Art Supervisors. Must be generated by a current Neshaminy student. A write-up must be included for each judge that states: How was the mural designed? Who is the main designer of the mural? What was the inspiration for creating the mural? Mural schedule will be created by Art Supervisor. Supervisors must be informed of every hour you are working on the mural. All modifications of original artwork must be pre-approved, no surprises Mural has to be completed in 50 hours.

Please use the sponsor sheet provided no altering the sheet. OBTAINING SPONSORS Students must go into the community to obtain a sponsor. $10.00 = One Line(50 characters) $25.00 = Business Card $50.00 = ¼ page $100.00 = ½ page $200.00 = Full Page $500.00 = Back of program book $500.00 = Inside back or inside front cover book $1000.00 = Back of T-Shirt (can be divided) Please use the sponsor sheet provided no altering the sheet.

Music -Winning team from the previous year will start the music draft. -Song lists must include the following: Correct name of song. Artist/Lyrics -No “holding” songs for another team.  Each individual team must have their own song list.  -Just because the song is approved does not mean specific parts are approved. (Supervisors will approve the part of the song and lyrics being used.) -Individual supervisors have the “Final Say” over music selections.   -Some songs may not be approved if they “sound like”, are “bleeped out” or deemed inappropriate by the supervisor.  - Everyone will be using NHS digital recording classes to create their music.

MONEY All receipts must be of Gym Night items only. Receipts must be the original receipts. Receipts must be itemized! No credit card receipts, vouchers or invoices. Receipts must include: Who items were purchased from. What was purchased. That it was paid for. Treasurers will make all deposits. You must use your own money first. Receipts will be submitted via the treasurer for reimbursement. Please contact “Adult Treasurer” prior to purchases. Contact between treasurer, adult treasure and Mrs. Geruc is frequent.
