Meet the llamas.

Long coats will get sheared about once a year.

Fleece falls

fiber

carding paddles carding the fibers straightens it, which makes it easier to spin into yarn.

This is a 8" drum carder. This machine lines up the fibers in preparation for spinning. This is easier for straightening the fiber.

Spinning wheel twists the loose fibers together into a single, strong strand and winds it on a spool.
