What is LoRaWAN?

What is LoRaWAN? LoRaWAN – Low Range Wide Area Network It is estimated that there will be 50 billion connected devices by 2020 Each LoRaWAN Gateway is able to support up to 20,000 IoT devices. It can operate successfully at ranges exceeding 15 km in suburban settings and more than 2 km in dense urban environments. An IoT devices can achieve over 10 year battery life Bradford Council has purchased 3 LoRaWAN Gateways 5 Flood Sensors University of Bradford IoT Lab Launched in 2016

What is LoRaWAN Things Network (Leeds and Bradford) Gateways The Things Network is a global, open, crowd-sourced Internet of Things data network The Things Network uses the LoRaWAN network technology to provide low power wireless connectivity over long range. Gateways 1 gateway in Leeds at the ODI Leeds 1 gateway in Bradford at the DHEZ
