JUYI Joining Up Your Information Gloucestershire’s shared health and social care information project November 2017 – Patient Participation Group

What is JUYI? For professionals directly involved in your care: Secure Online Immediate access Key information The right information, in the right place, at the right time.

Partners Local GP Surgeries Hospitals Community health services Mental health services Out of hours GPs Paramedic teams Social care teams

Benefits You only need to tell your story once Safer and faster treatment Reduced duplication of appointments and tests Reduced delays to treatment JUYI Animation YouTube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gebBMdnRBL0 The right information, in the right place, at the right time.

Timeline June – Dec 2016 Contract discussions. Patient mail out. Jan – March 2017 Proof of concept phase April onwards Design and development work. Information Governance activities Spring 2018 First of phased go-live dates Signing the contract took longer than predicted, which impacted on development and go-live dates for JUYI

Where are we now? Phase 1 Design, Development & Implementation Related activities: Information Governance Benefits and Change Communications

Phase 1 Read only Real time, where possible Intuitive (no training required) Familiar terminology Phased go-lives Incorporating end user input and feedback The solution will be flexible to grow and adapt as the environment and requirements for sharing evolve

Phase 1 Multiple releases, increasing functionality: JUYI 1.0 MVP – Minimum viable product JUYI 1.1 More data sets added JUYI 1.2 More clinicians able to view JUYI 1.3 More clinicians in different settings able to view The Spring go-live will be the first of multiple releases in the phased roll out, making more data available and allowing more clinicians to have access

Urgent Care Clinicians Additional Data & Additional Users Phases of Development Phase 1 Primary Care Acute Community Mental Health Out of Hours Tetbury Hospital MIU Phase 1.5 Notifications Messaging Collaborative reporting Phase 2 Patient Portal Extend notifications Extend Consent Management Extend integration with Sunquest ICE There will be further developments after phase 1, with the Patient Portal coming in Phase 2 Read only view for: Urgent Care Clinicians Additional Data & Additional Users (to be defined and agreed with providers)

What we need? Patient portal design input Keeping the public informed – what works? Information sharing & access control representation Oversight of what’s included in JUYI and who can see it in the future There are several ways in which we would like to get your involvement:

Patient Portal Workshop Spring/Summer 2018 Design and content of the Patient Portal What works and what doesn’t What are the barriers to use? A further update at will be available at the next PPG meeting in February Looking for users of currently available portals, such as GP Online to participate in workshop

Communications How do you want to be kept updated? JUYI website: www.juyigloucestershire.org Practice information Looking for volunteers to join this conversation Virtual discussion and updates followed by workshop in early 2018 We want you to let us know how, where and when you want to be updated. Examples of letters, leaflets, posters What does your practice do? How to target new patients and young people over 16 Focus on primary care – should info be available in other settings e.g. libraries What we have done – summary Get Healthwatch input

ISACGG Information Sharing & Access Control Governance Group Information Governance (IG) leads Clinicians Patient representatives What information is included within JUYI Who will be able to see that information Current usage – is it appropriate? Audits – are we checking the right things? We are looking for 2 patient representatives Meetings to start in line with the JUYI go-live date and will be held every 2 months, at Sanger House

What else is happening? All GP practices in Gloucestershire are being asked to sign up to: GISPA (Gloucestershire Information Sharing Partnership Agreement) JUYI SISA (Specific Information Sharing Agreement) JUYI Access Agreement At present, 65% of practices have signed up On-going patient consent Following the mail out in 2016, all new patients should be informed about JUYI and their consent recorded when registering at their GP Practice
