Rikki-tikki-tavi – reading check Pg. 201 Who is Rikki-tikki-tavi, and how does he meet Teddy? Rikki-tikki-tavi is a young mongoose. He meets Teddy after floodwaters wash him out of his nest and into Teddy’s garden. Teddy finds the nearly drowned mongoose in his garden.
