How Could You Measure IR Directly On Buildings? By: Kayla M. Hurst

Infrared Radiation Thermometer Measure temperature without contact. Physics behind that broadcasting is called Planck's Law of Thermal Radiation. Planck's law basically describes the spectral radiance of electromagnetic radiation at all wavelengths emitted in the normal direction from a black body at temperature. Does not contact the object it is measuring which means that it does not need to be at the same temperature, This means, in theory, that the IR Thermometer can measure very rapidly, measure distant objects, measure moving objects, and measure very high temperatures.

Infrared Radiation Thermometer Price Range: $12 -$2,837

Methods Of Thermal Imaging Thermograph techniques are used to locate and identify suspect areas of including moisture, energy loss and electrical concerns. Some methods of thermal imaging are: Thermal Imaging Cameras Homemade Infrared Radiation Cameras

Thermal Imaging Camera Thermal imaging cameras are used to capture the infrared energy that is given off by objects emitting heat. Not only can most models if the thermal imaging cameras present the thermal image on the screen, but many of the models can also function as an Infrared Radiation thermometer.

Thermal Imaging Camera Price Range: $1,595.00- $19,485.00

Homemade Infrared Radiation Camera Are a cheaper solution to going out and buying thermal imaging camera. Although the quality of the picture will not be that of the thermal imaging camera. If you want to use the infrared radiation thermometer, you will have to go out and buy one of those separately.

Homemade Infrared Radiation Camera Price Range: Varies- Minimal Depending On Camera Brand
