KNOW THE DIFFERENT DASHBOARD WARNING LIGHTS IN MERCEDES

Mercedes like luxury vehicles are designed with superior technology.

Such cars not only offer great riding experience but also ensure the safety of passengers to the fullest.

The vehicle is equipped with various lights on its dashboard with an aim to warn its driver.

If the driver is an experienced one, he can understand the meaning of the light and would promptly take necessary action.

If you lack Mercedes riding experience, you might not know the purpose of the warning lights.

Therefore, for your sake we are giving you the brief idea on these warning lights that would be useful.

ABS WARNING The light suggests that your anti- lock braking starts failing or is nonfunctional. The issue can affect other safety components like brake assist, stability control and hill start.

LOW FUEL It indicates that your fuel tank has less amount of gas. You have to refill the tank immediately otherwise your journey would encounter a halt.

BRAKE PAD WEAR It is one of the critical lights in your Mercedes which signals you the brake pads are not in good condition and they should be replaced.

BULB FAILURE It warns a light bulb is ceased to function so it needs immediate replacement.

POWER STEERING FAILURE The light signifies your Mercedes power steering is failing by which the system would need more force to move. This may turn fatal at times when fast movement is required.

AIRBAG WARNING It means the car's airbags are not functioning rightly.

SEAT BELT WARNING It suggests either the driver or the front passenger is not precisely belted. The system will also produce a sound when the car exceeds a speed of 15mph.

ATTENTION ASSIST Sometimes drivers lack focus. When the system of your Mercedes senses so this light is turned up to make the driver alert. It also produces a sound.

ESC WARNING It warns that your Electronic Stability Control (ESC) is not in good working condition. So, it cannot curb skidding if needed.

GLOW PLUG The light tells that the diesel engine is not getting enough heat to start normally.

BATTERY WARNING This means your car cell is not properly charged for which it cannot start the engine.

ENGINE WARNING The indicator suggests you that one of the fuel system, exhaust system and engine management system encounters an issue. Therefore you should conduct an effective diagnosis to fix the issue.

DEF WARNING The warning light makes you aware of the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), which may be low or the inappropriate one.

TRACTION LIGHT OFF It suggests that the Electronic Stability Control is deactivated.

TIRE PRESSURE LOW This signs pressure in your car tire(s) is low that may blowout anytime. You should maintain right pressure in them.

COOLANT WARNING It tells that the coolant level in your vehicle is very low that would result in engine overheating. If you continue driving under this condition, it will permanently damage the engine.

PARKING BRAKE It warns the driver that the parking brake is still active, and if you drive, the braking system will be damaged.

FINAL WORDS If you consider the lights carefully and take appropriate action for them, your safety and enjoyment would prevail forever.
