2018 Nease Indoor Informational Meeting Wednesday, November 1st

What is Indoor Percussion There are two levels of classification: Independent and Scholastic. Independent groups are self-organized and funded, sometimes they are an extension of a college program. Scholastic ensembles are programs that compete on behalf of their school. For both Independent and Scholastic classes, WGI offers competitive divisions of A Class, Open Class and World Class. This will allow ensembles to compete and be compared with other groups at a similar skill level.

Nease Indoor Philosophy The Nease Indoor Percussion Ensemble is an extra- curricular activity that serves as an extension to the marching band. The students will have opportunities to extend their skill sets that will holistically benefit the Nease Band Program. Character, class, maturity, and professionalism that will be taught and displayed by all members and staff.

Student Expectations Students must demonstrate the character traits at all times Students must stay academically eligible Students must attend all rehearsals, camps, competitions Students must stay in good financial status Students must always follow the expectations of the staff members and support staff

Auditions Wednesday, November 29th Audition Round 1: 4:15pm - 7:30pm Students will receive audition packets asap Students will audition in an ensemble setting, not individually Monday, December 4th Callback Auditions: 4:15pm - 7:30pm Final rosters for the ensemble will be solidified following the December 4th callback audition.

What Do I need to Demonstrate to be selected for the ensemble The Nease Indoor Percussion Ensemble is an extension of the entire Band Program. Therefore, previous attendance, dedication, work ethic, and most importantly, demonstration of great behavior is going to weight heavily on results. Ability to demonstrate the skill sets needed to achieve the demands of the ensemble for the upcoming season. Good financial standing within the entire organization. All dues must be paid by November 1st.
