I was delighted that Fife College offered such a great progression route, which allowed me to complete my degree up to Honours level at Fife College. It made such a difference being able to continue studying at the same place.”

Articulation Routes Universities working with Fife College An articulation route is a pathway between an HNC or an HND and a degree programme, agreed between the College and a university and is reviewed annually. Studying at college can be the perfect bridge between school and university. Universities working with Fife College University of Aberdeen Edinburgh Napier University Heriot-Watt University Glasgow Caledonian University Queen Margaret University University of Sunderland The Open University University of the West of Scotland This collaboration will soon expand further to: Abertay University University of Dundee Robert Gordon University University of Stirling University of the Highlands and Islands The content of the HN course matches the content of the first year (or first two years) of the chosen degree in order to ensure a smooth transition. It provides a similar level of study to university and allows you to experience smaller class groups and to develop independent study and research skills in a supportive setting. To take advantage of an articulation agreement you need to ensure that the HN course you choose progresses to the degree course that you ultimately want to study, as in most cases only certain HN courses offer articulation to specific degree programmes. This information can be made available to you when you apply for your college course.
