Zebra Adriana

Appearance- Body Zebras can rotate their ears in every direction to find out where the sound is coming from. They have big teeth. They have short manes and long tails. They weigh about 600 pounds (272 kg). They look like horses and they have black and white stripes.

Habitat- Where? Zebras live in Africa. Some live in dry or hilly areas. Zebras roam grassy areas and they live together. Burchell zebras lives in Eastern and South Eastern Africa. Grevy zebras live in Eastern Africa. Mountain zebras live in Southern Africa

Food They graze all day. Their sharp front teeth snip off tall grass. Flat back teeth help zebras chew the grass. They eat plants mostly grass.

Lifecycle- Reproduction Female zebras give birth to foals. Foals can walk an hour after they are born. Young zebras stay with their mothers for three years. They an can run as fast as 40 miles (65 kg) per hour.

Other Interesting Facts Zebra foals have brown stripes. Zebras kick predators or run away quickly to stay safe. They like to swim. Thousands of zebras can make up one herd. There are three kinds of zebras: the Common zebra, Grevy’s zebra and the Mountain zebra. All three kinds of zebras live in the deserts and grasslands of the eastern. They spend most of their time eating food.
