Belief in God forces accountability Why Is It So Hard? Belief in God forces accountability Why Does Man Have Such Trouble With This? Belief in God requires accountability to God. John 5:44 How can you believe, when you receive glory from one another and do not seek the glory that comes from the only God? Since God created us, He is above us in authority Acts 8:12 But when they believed Philip as he preached good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. James 2:22-23 You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by his works; and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, "Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness"--and he was called a friend of God. Even the atheist understands the chain of command Basic instinct teaches most powerful is in control Since God created us we are no longer "top dog" When find selves under authority of another Understand we must obey them; Parents, Boss at work Since God created us we must be obedient

Why Is It So Hard? Realizing accountability to God, we can no longer do as we please We don't like idea we cannot control our lives Some are so caught up in self, they will not accept the authority of someone else Refuse to believe "God created" Belief necessitates obedience Once you admit belief in God you must relinquish control and stop evil practices! Since God created us we must be obedient Realizing accountability to God, no longer do as we please God is in control, must accept we are no longer number one Yet as humans we don't like idea we can't control our lives Some so caught up in self, won't accept authority of someone else Refuse to believe "God created" - belief necessitates obedience Admit belief in God must relinquish control and stop evil practices

Do You Believe God Created? “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” Hebrews 11:6 “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” Romans 10:17 Do You Believe God Created? Hebrews 11:6 Romans 10:17 Hearing and believing are but the beginning of salvation. They are though, absolutely necessary to salvation Hebrews 3:16-4:2 For who were those who heard and yet rebelled? Was it not all those who left Egypt led by Moses? And with whom was he provoked for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness? And to whom did he swear that they would not enter his rest, but to those who were disobedient? So we see that they were unable to enter because of unbelief. 1 Therefore, while the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us fear lest any of you should seem to have failed to reach it. For good news came to us just as to them, but the message they heard did not benefit them, because they were not united by faith with those who listened. If don't believe "God created" we are doomed to eternal destruction.

Do You Believe? Once we believe must change in repentance Acts 17:30-31; 2:37-38 Once we believe must change in repentance. Acts 17:30-31 The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent, because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead." Acts 2:37-38 Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Brothers, what shall we do?" And Peter said to them, "Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." We must confess Christ as the Son of God. Romans 10:8-10 But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Must be obedient in baptism. Mark 16:16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. Acts 2:37-38 Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Brothers, what shall we do?"
