Tips For Students with dyslexia: Use a calendar. Have a quiet place to study. Good diet. Get enough sleep. Do not do more than is expected Back to dyslexia

Tips for teachers of dyslexic students: Use a white board and markers. Colored overlays help with reading. Wooden letters to teach the alphabet Use highlighters Teach the alphabet with wooden letters. Back to Dyslexia

Tips for students with dysgraphia: Use a large pencil. Have kids do different types of writing. Use abbreviations. Use templates for your work. Use a tape recorder to answer questions. Back to dysgraphia

Parents can help students with dysgraphia by: Show your child how you use writing. Let know you understand it is hard for them. Model a positive attitude about writing. Give feedback about their writing. Show different purposes for their writing Back to dysgraphia

Teachers of students with dysgraphia can: Allow extended time for writing assignments. Do not count spelling on individual assignments . Allow word processing. Have comfortable writing instruments in class. Use scribes. Back to dysgraphia

Students with dyscalculia can try these: Use digital math textbooks. Practice writing math problems. Don’t be afraid to give math a go. Wear a watch. Have a place to study that is quiet. Back to dyscalculia

Tips for parents of students with math troubles Give homework rewards. Show your child how to step by step do math. Use money at the store. Play games that keep score. Back to dysgraphia Ask school for help. Back to dyscalculia

Teacher tips: Dyscalculia Get the student occupational therapy for penmanship. Use tablets and IPAD in class. Math practice on computers. Try vision therapy Tangrams , finger painting, base ten blocks Back to dyscalculia

Assistive technologies: Dyslexia : Use technologies like a live scribe pen for lectures and note taking. Also try lined paper and colored overlays to make it easier to see. For dysgraphia voice recognition, word processors and pencils with big grips help. Use tablet computers , practice math on computers, are recommended for dyscalculia.
