High School Graduation Rate Student-athletes who compete in the NABI Tournament must be enrolled in a High School program to participate, a factor proven to have a positive and encouraging impact on NABI participants to complete his/her High School education.

Financial Support The NABI Foundation has provided collegiate funding for over 200 student-athletes since the Foundation’s inception in 2003, which includes over $250,000 in scholarship funds.

Collegiate Effect The Foundation’s new focus is to enhance educational opportunities through the Tournament as a tool to inspire and create college opportunities Left to Right: Adrianna Haozous | San Carlos Apache | Phoenix College Sophia Anaya | Navajo | Cochise College Mya Timms | Hopi | Phoenix College

Collegiate Effect The Tournament attracts approximately 12 - 20 Junior College and Tribal University Recruiters to scout participants. This is a great introduction to college basketball, with an opportunity to possibly transfer to Division I or II play. Ramona Tsosie (Navajo) | Precious Jose (Tohono O’odham, Gila River) | Rebecca Hererra (Navajo) | Idalis Galindo (Tohono O’odham) | Caronda Yazzie (Navajo) “NABI use to be a well-kept secret where I can find great players, now the word is out and I have to compete with other colleges!” -Matthew Vargas, Tohono O’odham Community College Basketball Coach, 2017

A Foundation Dedicated to Programs Annual Budget $450,000 - $500,000 Revenue Sponsorships & Small Grants: 75% Registration Fees, Products Sales, Entry Fees, and Golf Tournament: 25% Expense Programs: 83% Administrative & Fundraising: 17% Paid Staff: 3 full-time; 1 part-time Data can be accessed via the Annual Federal Tax Report at www.guidestar.org (NABI Foundation 990).

A Foundation Built on Success Haskell University has been one of the strongest recruiting programs since the Foundation’s inception in 2003. In 2010, Haskell’s Women’s Basketball team advanced to their first Championship game in school history with a team predominately comprised of NABI alumni. Fittingly, the late Coach Phil Homeratha contributed their success to recruiting talent from NABI. In 2011 the NABI Leadership Award was renamed to the Phil Homeratha Leadership Award to honor Coach Phil Homeratha
