What is a constellation? A constellation is a group of stars that when viewed from Earth form a picture. When the same stars are viewed from another planet they do not make the same pictures.

Ursa major Aka: Big Bear Discovered in 2nd century 3rd largest constellation in the sky Better known for part of the constellation known as The Big Dipper
