Your physical therapy can help you reduce pain in the soft tissues (muscles, tendons, and ligaments), build muscle strength, and improve flexibility, function, and range of motion. Help you understand what’s causing your pain. Educate you on how to reduce pain, and manage chronic symptoms. Manage any pain you might be experiencing. Teach you how to improve your general well-being, and avoid recurring injuries.

The training/education required for my career is: A university degree in physiotherapy and a period of supervised practical training are required. A licence or registration with a regulatory body is required to practise physiotherapy in all provinces. Completion of the Physiotherapy National Exam, administered by the Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulatory Boards, may be required.
