Questions What is Bulimia? Eating large amounts of food in short amounts of time. Then ridding the body of the foods. What is one long term effect of bulimia? Psychological illness and Death  What is short term effect of bulimia? Cheek swelling or soreness  What is one mental side effect of bulimia? Depression What is one physical side effect of bulimia? Muscle Fatigue What is one reason aside from weight loss that people are bulimic? To feel in control of their lives.

Bulimia is… Binging and purging- Eating large amounts of food in short amounts of time. Then ridding the body of the foods.

Short Term Effects Cheek swelling or soreness Throat or esophagus soreness Tears Muscle fatigue Dry skin Abrasion of knuckles

Long Term Effects Mental health issues including depression, anxiety, and fear of gaining weight. Mouth problems such as cavities, tooth enamel erosion, gum disease and sensitivity. Intestinal problems like constipation, irregular bowel movements, bloating, diarrhea.

Summary Bulimia effects the body in multiple ways. These include mental illness and physical illness. These effects would have a negative impact on your life.
