Mongolia is a huge, landlocked country, 1. 566 Mongolia is a huge, landlocked country, 1.566.500 sq km in area, about three times the size of France, almost as large as the Australian state, Queensland. Apart from the period of Mongol conquest under Chinggis khaan and Kublai khaan, Mongolia was until the 20th century about twice its present size. Population density 1.52 people per sq km. Mongolia divided in to 4 regions such as Western region /Altai mountine’s area/, Southern region /Gobi/, Central region /Khangai Mountain/ , Eastern region /stepped area/. Mongolia has a sharply continental climate, with temperatures ranging between -5 and -22 F (-15 and -30 C) in winter and +50 and +80 F (+10 and +30 C) in summer.

Main result of Step survey 9 in every 10 people (90.6% of the surveyed population) had at least one risk factors for developing NCDs. One in every five people (20.7% of the surveyed population) had three and more risk factors or were at HIGH risk One in every two males aged 45 years and above were at high risk in developing NCDs.
