Accredited Standards Committee C63® - EMC SC-4 meeting May 10, 2017 Meeting Attendance: xx Status of projects: C63.10-2013 – 35 attendees on 5/9/17. 2nd Edition topics: video bandwidth averaging; test reduction and reporting requirements; MIMO testing; testing of modular devices; JTFs with C63.26 WG; and, text for measurements below 30 MHz. Work is continuing with expectation of circulating a draft after the meeting in November 2017.

Accredited Standards Committee C63® - EMC Status of WG projects: C63.26-2016 – 20 attendees on 5/8/17. 1st edition published 1/15/16 (not yet adopted by FCC). PINS for 2nd Ed. submitted 6/3/16 (expanded scope to cover recent FCC rulemakings). Topics discussed: radiated emission; JTG for mm wave with short and long term solutions being considered; MIMO JTG; and, signal booster TG. Work on 2nd Edition of C63.26 continuing with expectation of circulating a draft to SC-4 next year.

Accredited Standards Committee C63® - EMC Status of WG projects (continued): C63.29-201x – Meeting on 5/10/17 with 9 attendees. Early draft was circulated and comments discussed. Major issues include: measurements below 30 MHz; equipment set-up; and definitions. A 2nd draft to be circulated by September 2017 with expectation of circulation to SC by early 2018. C63.30-201x – Meeting on 5/9/17. Typically 2 conference calls per month. Topics: extensive testing under way; comparison testing for use of van veen loop under way; extrapolation of test results is being developed; in-situ testing will be included; measurements below 30 MHz discussed. Work is continuing.

Accredited Standards Committee C63® - EMC Status of WG projects (continued): C63.31-201x – Meeting on 5/9/17 with 19 attendees. Draft circulated using MP-5 as a starting point. Topics: extrapolation of test results; measurement instrumentation; testing on a test site and in-situ; test sites and measurements below 30 MHz. JTG – measurements below 30 MHz – Bob Delisi – Created to determine correlation between measurements made with a small loop antenna and van Veen loop system (LLAS), if possible. After some discussion, it agreed that the JTG will use the procedures developed by C63.31 TG and C63.30 TG.
