Read-A-Thon 2018: What is it? A.k.a RAT 12 days of competitive reading at school and at home Includes being read to Starts Mon., Jan. 29 and ends Fri., Feb. 9 Students ask friends and family for sponsorships Henry’s video

RAT 2018: How does it work? Teachers hold daily reading sessions in class. Students can add more minutes by reading at home. Ask family and friends to support you by donating money... On your own website By giving cash or writing a check

RAT 2018: Prizes! The RAT Store Set up your RAT website to earn a free prize! Get donations from family and friends to earn RAT bucks to spend in the RAT store. The more money raised, the more RAT bucks earned.

2018 RAT: Prizes! PTA Incentives 2 top fundraisers: $50 Walmart gift card Top reader: 6 in. cookie from Eileen’s Any student who reads at least 200 minutes: Coupon for a free Eileen’s cookie Class that reads the most in each grade: Cookie party from Eileen’s Top 5 readers in each grade level: Gift certificates from either EPIC, indoor pool, Sunfire Ceramics, Sylas and Maddy’s, Orange Leaf, or Royal Crest Lanes.
