Power supply Total need of power for IBL cooling station has been estimated to 20 kW This include: Chiller compressor Heaters Electrical and control system components We will ask for UPS for IBL cooling system Statement from Wieslaw Iwanski: Atlas has enough reserve in existing UPS to feed the 20 kW pump of the IBL cooling system. However, there is no actually possibility to connect such a circuit to existing UPS distribution as all available breakers in UPS switchboards in USA15 are already in use. Atlas will therefore order and install during the LS1 a new switchboard fed from the UPS network in USA15 to address this situation. It’s assumed that this switchboard will provide a standard monitoring of all breakers i.e. ‘on/off’ and ‘electrical fault’ sensors without possibility to turn on/off breakers by external systems J.Godlewski PH-DT-PO IBL 15 May 2012
Nitrogen flushing from gas room in USA15 J.Godlewski PH-DT-PO IBL 15 May 2012
IBL nitrogen flushing IBL will be flushed with nitrogen using existing system in USA15 gas room PH/DT Gas group will take care about additional equipment and modification in the ID flushing rack Goal is to reach dew point in IBL volume below -60 C ATLAS TC will install copper pipe between ID rack in USA15 gas room and IBL volume 8 mm OD copper pipe J.Godlewski PH-DT-PO IBL 15 May 2012
Mixed water for the chiller Chiller for IBL cooling station will have water cooled condenser Amount of water is around 20 l/min Close to proposed cooling unit location there exist piping for primary, mixed and chilled water Necessary amount of water will be taken from mixed or primary water circuit Water cooled condenser Chiller J.Godlewski PH-DT-PO IBL 15 May 2012
Vacuum and compressed air Vacuum pump for vacuum insulated transfer lines will be installed in UX15 on HS level 7. Compressed air for CO2 cooling units will be delivered from evaporative system air compressors situated in USA15 CV room. J.Godlewski PH-DT-PO IBL 15 May 2012
