What are stimulants A stimulant is a drug that speeds up the body’s functions. Stimulants raise the heart rate, blood pressure, and metabolism. They may cause users to feel excited or anxious.

What are examples of stimulants? Stimulants that are considered legal Nicotine Energy drinks Medicines to treat ADD Caffeine Stimulants considered illegal Cocaine Crack Methamphetamine

What are short and long term effects? Short-term effects: Alertness, focus, sleeplessness, loss of appetite, increased blood pressure and heart rate, high body temperature. Long-term effects: Addiction, paranoia and long-term insomnia, extreme weight change.
