A few chess boards made with different themes My Chess Boards A few chess boards made with different themes

Explanation I’ve decided to use things in the universe for my chessboard. These are the reasons why I chose these characters: First of all, the Sun is the King because it is the biggest star in the universe. Second, the Moon is the Queen because it works together with Sun night after day, just as the King and Queen work together. The Southern Crosses are the two bishops because the only thing in Outer Space that would remind you of something to do with a bishop is a cross of course! The Centaur constellation is the knight, because it is half man and half horse. Also because to some of the research I've done says that Centaur was some knight. Earth is the rook because it is where us humans live and the planet which has man-made structures on it's grounds. Last of all, I chose stars to be the pawns because they are probably one of the other things in the universe that nearly all look the same. Some of them can be eliminated but it doesn't really matter if there are still many other stars in the sky. A starry night sky will still remain so, as a chess game can still go on if one or more pawns are eliminated from the board.
