2009 Young Persons Lecture Competition The Mining Institute of Scotland a regional society of The Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining Test your presentation skills, take part in the UK Young Persons’ Lecture Competition The Competition is open to members and non members of the Institute. Contestants must be students or graduates age 28 or under on June 1st 2009 who work in Industry or are in academia. The local heat winner receives £250 and an expenses paid trip to London to represent Scotland in the UK final. Prizes of £150 & £100 for the 2nd & 3rd.
