4rd task’s result Day of the Town is at 15th of June. And it’s 430 years since Alytus get Magdeburg rights.

5th task Is there a tourism information centre in Alytus? Where is it located? Take a photo of it. What information services does it give?

5th task’s result Yes there is a information centre. It is near town hall, in the town centre. It can give a information about living here, eating, interesting places, events, transport, about everything. They make some turism trips, selling a souvenirs.

Group 2 Our trip around Alytus

So, our first task was to find out why the street in which our school is located is called Jonyno street? Who was Antanas Jonynas and what he is famous for and we had to take picture of the street.

Answer Antanas Jonynas was a famous writer, who was born in Alytus. Because of his unique talent the street in Alytus was named after him.

Our second task was to find a pond “Gulbynė” and to find out what name do local people call it? What birds can you notice on the pond? Is it possible to swim or fish in it? What kinds of winter sports local people prefer? And we also had to take a photo of the pond.

Answer Local people call it “Gulbynė”. You can notice swans in that pond. You can also swim there, but it’s dangerous. And you can also fish there. In the winter people usually do ice skating there.
