When the system is compressed from contacting something under- neath the door, it will send an air pulse or electronic pulse to a switch which will send the door back up. WARNING LIGHTS EQUIPMENT The function of the warning light is to warn people when the door is in motion or when it is safe to proceed through the door opening. There are a couple different style of lights, but the most prominent ones for overhead doors are: STROBE LIGHTS : usually RED, they will flash while the door is in motion, sometimes they will have an audible sound working with the strobing light. TRAFFIC LIGHTS : can be RED + GREEN, sometimes red, yellow and green. These lights will work like a traffic light, it is safe to proceed on green.
