Still testing out new ideas! THE FOUNDER Odd Egil Solheim Still testing out new ideas! ’86 – ’91 : Glommen Skog AS oppretter et datterselskap med navnet Kambi AS   01.01.1992: Datterselskapet Kambi AS (org. nr: 953 015 951), ble innfusjonert i Glommen Skog AS. Samtidig endret Glommen Skog AS navn til Kambi AS, og fisjonerte i 2 selskaper: Kambi AS (1/5) og Glommen Fond AS (4/5). (Glommen Fond AS ble formelt stiftt 4.10.1991). Kambi AS var en videreføring av det opprinnelige Glommen Skog AS. juli-1992: Petrol Holding AS kjøper Glommen skogeierforeningens aksjepost i Kambi AS. I tillegg tilbyr Petrol Holding AS de øvrige aksjonærene i Kambi AS å kjøpe deres andel i Kambi AS. 07.07.1993: Kambi AS endrer navn til Cambi AS. 06.03.1997: Cambi AS overdras fra Petrol Holding AS til Cambi Holding AS. (Cambi Holding AS ble stiftet 14.11.1996 av Petrol Holding AS). Overføringen skjer ihht. forskriften om konserninterne overføringer. 02.06.2000: Cambi Holding AS endres til Cambi Holding ASA Utvikling i aksjekapitalen til Cambi AS (940 813 689) Dette må editeres!! Totalt betalte Cambi Holding AS inn NOK 14.445.000. Aksjekapitalen økte med NOK 6.000.000 til NOK 29.030.000, og det overskytende var overkurs på NOK 8.445.000. about finding an efficient solution to utilize the birch hard-wood resources in the area. from the forest industry in Elverum, Norway, to our Technical Director Odd Egil Solheim Cambi is a Norwegian bio-energy company founded in 1989. It began with an inquiry Solheim was hired as a consultant and a Thermal Hydrolysis test unit was subsequently forestry fertilizer. The Thermal Hydrolysis test unit was therefore also used to test the (HIAS) contacted the forest industry in Elverum to identify potential uses of sludge as constructed. At the same time, Hedmarken Inter-Authority Wastewater Cooperation processing of sludge before anaerobic digestion. The experiments and testing were energy. Cambi generates high quality products and continually increases its expertise plant. Today Cambi is a world leader in converting sludge and biowaste into renewable highly successful and brought Cambi its first contract, with HIAS’ wastewater treatment in innovative environmental technologies. Cambi expands its technology through a plant in Verdal, Norway. This is the first biogas plant ever to satisfy strict EU demands continents, and is currently commissioning the world’s most modern biowaste digestion strong focus on research and development. Cambi has established 15 plants on three human diseases in the biowaste. regarding the treatment of animal by-products, by eliminating all animal, plant and

CAMBI’S BUSINESS AREAS Biosolids: Plants for enhanced biogas production from municipal & industrial sludge Biowaste: Plants for biogas from source-separated organic waste Biorenewables: Biogas production from organic residues Ligno-cellulosic biomass pre-treatment for bio-ethanol & biogas Operations: Cambi Operations provides support and operation services to maximize plant performance Established in 1989. ………………….TO A BRIGHTER FUTURE – WITH BIOGAS (First prototype)

CAMBI THP PROCESS

BIOGAS PRODUCTION “ The Dublin THP digestion plant ... can produce 3.5m³/day of biogas per m³ of digester capacity, which is 350% of the normal situation.” Dublin, Ireland May reach up to 100% more biogas production than conventional technology(most cases). We have to do a spesific analysis on your situation to confirm that this will be the case here. Make you energy neutral. Is this important for you? Conventional treatment CAMBI THP

CAMBI SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCES CARBON FOOTPRINT ”… installation of anaerobic digestion … significantly reduces carbon foot print, especially if dewaterability is improved” (Auty and Blake, 2008, Barber, 2009) “… [The] thermal hydrolysis pretreatment system at … Davyhulme … will reduce [United Utilities’] carbon footprint by 8% - the equivalent of removing 270,000 cars off the road for 30 years.”, March-April 2009, Worldwater Why does Cambi reduce carbon footprint? Quote?

Benefits from the Cambi process Higher breakdown of material - produces more biogas Higher dewaterability – less cake with higher fertilizer value Higher digester load – smaller plant – smaller investment Sterilized sludge – can be spread on farmland

Experience from cooperation with Lithuanian companies Local company (RIFAS) is used for detailed design and installation of Control system and MCC. Experience so far is good. (We do not know the conclusion until the plant has started.) Communication might sometimes be challenging due to missing English skills among some of the employees. Local site representative hired through company Evikta Evikta was engaged by WTE for construction application process Experience is good He is fluent in Lithuanian and English Knowledge about local regulations Personal/company authorisation is required for approval of installation work Evikta is also used for minor mechanical modifications. Experience is good with respect to quality and costs.

Experience from cooperation with Innovation Norway Innovation Norway was used for engaging the site representative Suggested potential companies that could offer the site representative service in addition to evaluation of companies suggested by Cambi. Prepared an evaluation of potential candidates Support during interwiev Support for writing the contract

Challenges related to the project in Vilnius Process for construction application Detailed engineering (Technical design) had to be completed for construction application. A Lithuanian company (Evikta) prepared the documentation for the application. 5 months approval period for evaluation of the application for Litianianian authorities was indcated at project start. The evaluation period was extended due to internal processes inside Lithuanian authorities
