Introduction Did you know that Canada’s form of government is a Confederate Democracy? The head of the state of Canada is a British monarchy represented by governor general. The prime minister in Canada is Stephen Harper.

The Political Parties There are 7 political parties in Canada. Here are the names of those parties the Bloc Quebec, Canadian Action Party, Christian Heritage Party of Canada, Communist Party of, Conservative Party of Canada, Green party of Canada, and the Liberal Party of Canada.

The Bill of Rights The Bill of Rights is a document describing the basic rights and liberties of the citizens. The government is not allowed to interfere with these rights.

Conclusion Canada has a very different type of government compared to the United states. They have a constitutional monarchy instead of a president who is reelected every 2-4 years.
