Proposed Action Plan The Watershed Action Plan will be developed in partnership with the Rouge Park, with funding support from the watershed municipalities The proposed plan will: Document studies completed on the watershed Identify issues for the watershed Recommendation management actions & set priorities Outline potential funding mechanisms Forge new partnership opportunities Describe roles and responsibilities for actions

Not Starting From Scratch TRCA and others have been studying this watershed and neighbouring watersheds Background Information has been gathered as part of the City of Pickering Growth Management Study and the Province’s 2006 Central Pickering Development Plan Recognize that there may be gaps in knowledge, which will be addressed as management actions in our study Water quality, groundwater surface hydrology, terrestrial natural heritage fisheries, erosion, stormwater, public use (trails) information available to guide this study TRCA and Rouge Park staff have been looking at restoration opportunities TRCA and Rouge Park have some significant land holdings.
