Belen Consolidated Schools At BCS we believe in educating the right way.   We do this by: Building Relationships Planning Evaluating Results We prepare students for success in college and career.

Central Elementary At Central Elementary we promote college and career readiness by building relationships and providing a safe and positive learning environment.

Central Elementary Current Enrollment: 4th Grade: 76 5th Grade: 86 Total: 236

Central Elementary Focus Areas 1. Tier 1 (Core) Instruction 2. Data-driven Instruction 3. Observation and Feedback

Tier 1--First Level of Instruction Tier 1 (Core) Curriculum is Common Core State Standards. Instruction is on grade level and follows the pacing of District Learning Plans (DLP). Teaching practices support critical thinking, specific learning outcomes, and targeted success criteria. 90 minute weekly PLCs.

Learning Through New Technology

Data-Driven Instruction— Utilizing Assessment Data Student performance goals based off of quarterly Illuminate Assessment. Examining Student Work (ESW) at PLCs. Designing intervention and enrichment instruction. Progress monitoring.

We Engage Parents in the Learning Process Through Our Parent Resource Room Resource room includes: two computers and a printer, math and reading games, books, hands-on materials, and other parent support materials. Plans to include: Monthly parent tutoring Monthly parent/student lunches Partner with Parents Reaching Out for further support and services.

Roadrunner Food Bank Supports our Families Occurs the 2nd Monday of each Month Food boxes provided for 50 families Plans to include providing tutoring before Food Bank Backpack program to provide food for weekends to 10 families.
