Rules Attend Practices, SAQ, Events and Tournaments Be 10 minutes early to practice, help set up and take down nets, shoes on and ready to go. Be on time to tournaments. Do not leave gym without telling coach. Notify coach at least one day in advance when you can’t attend a practice, and 7 days for tournaments. (Unexcused or excessive absences will affect playing time.) Irish Elite supports participation in other sports / activities and realizes that conflicts arise.   Efforts to balance absences across your activities must be made to ensure no impact to playing time. Complete the necessary online officiating training.  Participate as referee, scorer, and / or line judge at competitions equally with teammates.

Rules Be Respectful and Supportive Be Engaged at all times Recognize and value everyone’s contribution. Understand that others react to and handle situations differently. Abide by the club’s anti-bullying/abusive behavior policy. No Gossip! Celebrate Successes! Be Engaged at all times Listen to your coaches at all times, not just when they are speaking directly to you or about something that relates directly to you. Participate fully in drills even when not executing the drill; shag, watch, learn and support. Remain mentally “into” the game whether playing or not; cheer, support, learn and be prepared. Communicate, early and loud!

Rules Be a Positive Representative of the Club Be Coachable Especially while at events or wearing Irish Elite apparel.   This includes on social media, in school, and outside of Irish Elite events. Clean up your area at tournaments. Take care of our practice spaces and buildings. Be Coachable Learn to accept constructive criticism and do your best to improve. Step out of your comfort zone. Talk to your coach if you have questions or concerns.

Policies Playing Time Fair but not necessarily equal Volleyball is a position-specific sport Tiered approach Practice, League, Tournaments (Pool Play, Playoffs) Age group specific Coach Specific Lack of effort, poor attitude, unacceptable behavior, tardiness, unexcused absences and non-AS ONE attitudes may impact playing time. Playing time should not be impacted due to missing practice due to conflicts with other activities as long as those misses are not excessive and are balanced across your activities. HS Sports in season take precedence.

Policies Bullying / Aggressive Behavior Irish Elite VBC is committed to providing a safe and positive environment for its participants’ physical, emotional and social development and ensuring it promotes an environment free from abuse and misconduct. Bullying is when someone repeatedly and on purpose says or does mean or hurtful things to another person.  Bullying, like other disruptive behavior, is conduct that interferes with an athlete’s ability to learn, train, compete, and a coach’s ability to develop young athletes into a cohesive and successful team.    Irish Elite has ZERO TOLERANCE for all types of bullying. Review full policy on website www.irishelite.org
