DUE DATE: Monday April 10th Family Tree Project As we begin learning about immigration to the USA, we will be discussing our ancestors. This project is to help students to see that they have ancestors—and to begin to understand that they are a part of a family tree. Your task for this project is to research your family history to make a family tree. Ask your parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, or cousins for help. See if there is anybody in your family that has already researched your family tree. You do not need to add siblings to this tree. (you…your parents…grandparents…great-grandparents - if possible.). Your grade will not be affected if you do not have any information past your parent(s). Your family tree may include some of the following: birthdays, place of birth, photographs, marriage dates, etc. You may use any format to present the information as long as it is organized and easy to read. I am sending a paper family tree. You may use this as a guide and/or your project. However, I encourage you to be CREATIVE when doing this project. Enjoy this time of learning a little about your family. Please see me for any other materials that you may use. If it is available at school, I will give it to you. You will be graded on: *effort *neatness *organization *creativity Please let me know if you have any questions. DUE DATE: Monday April 10th
