GIANT PANDA
It lives in the Western Szechwan province of southwest China. GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS: WEIGHT: From 160 to 330 kg. HEIGHT: Between 1,2 or 1,5 meters. SCIENTIFIC NAME: Ailuropoda melanoleuca. ENDANGERED FROM: The 23rd of January (1984).
MAIN NEEDS Eat bamboo leaves and shoots fruit and berries, fungi, grass, and even small mammals, birds and fish. Have babies with its mate. Living in a peaceful habitat.

HOW MANY GIANT PANDAS ARE LEFT? There are only over 1600 speciments left. Most of them are in Minshan A (642).
