50 Million Strong SHAPE America uses the following definitions when referring to physical and health literacy. Physical Literacy:  An individual's ability, confidence and desire to be physically active for life.  Health Literacy:  An individual's capacity to access information, resources and services necessary to maintaining and promoting health.

Set-Get-Met the Goal Tried this last year in May… Busy time of year, but got good feedback 3 connected posters: SET the goal: I set attainable goals for K-1, 2-3, and K-3 grade levels GET the goal: What are the skills needed to reach this goal? MET the goal: Record student achievement when goal is met Love the concept, but will implement this year with changes

Miles & Miles Club Teacher record laps and steps on tally sheet each week Students must check in with teachers before and after each lap Additions for students: 1 inside lap for every Brain Break 1 building lap for their teacher over 6500 steps Pedometer steps during Field Trips
