Spotlight on Student Success “The Promise Scholars Program definitely made my first year at Skyline a smooth transition. I did not have to worry about paying for books…or classes. The program allowed me to have check-ins with [my Promise counselor], where I was able to lay out my whole education plan at Skyline so that I would graduate on time…That was something that I truly loved.” Norman James Roxas (Fall 2016 Promise Scholar) Norman graduates this Spring (2018), has achieved a 3.57 cumulative GPA, and will attend San Jose State University next fall to continue his education

The Promise Scholar Program supports recent graduates from High School, GED or adult continuation programs who can commit to attending college full-time. Will the full implementation of the CUNY ASAP model starting in Fall 2018, Skyline College intends to support 500 students through the Promise Scholars Program A $1,200 commitment provides one scholarship for a student to cover their first full year in college. ($1,200 per student = $600k for 500 students)
