THE MOON The Moon is thought to have formed nearly 4.5 billion years ago, not long after Earth.

DID YOU KNOW? The Moon makes a complete orbit around Earth with respect to the fixed stars about once every 27.3 days[j] (its sidereal period).

TO THE MOON Astronaut Buzz Aldrin on the Moon. Neil Armstrong and the US flag are reflected in his gold-plated visor. He landed on the moon at 1968

FACT! Size compared to Earth Earth’s only natural satellite, the moon, is about the size of Australia. It has dark plains called Seas or Maria, and pale highlands known as terrae. The bright spot are large craters.

ECLIPSES Eclipses are caused by the moon and the sun. An Eclipse is when the moon covers the sun and makes a black out so you can’t see anything but the outline of the sun around the moon!

THANK’S FOR WATCHING! Made By Kian Herbert.
