Limbrick News Date: 19th January 2018 Latest news: Our children thoroughly enjoyed their assembly on Thursday this week. Liz from the 14th Coventry Scout Group gave a really interesting insight into her Scouts meetings and the activities they are involved with. They are also looking for adult volunteers. A leaflet has been given out to children in Years 1 to 6 today which gives more details. Special mention certificates were awarded to: Reception – Ellie Yr 1 – Faye Yr 2 – Chloe Yr 3 – Kayden Yr 4 – Lennon Yr 5 – Raz Yr 6 – Hannah & Katie-Ann 14th Coventry Scout Group – Information from Liz: Girls, Boys and Adults can get involved or be introduced to new things, whether Toasting Marshmallows, climbing, archery to camping under the stars. Scouting has something for everyone and is a great way to make new friends.  To showcase what we do we have arranged for a FREE Open Event on Tuesday 23rd January 2018, 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm with additional open sessions on Tuesday 6th, Tuesday 13th, Tuesday 20th and Tuesday 27th February which will highlight what Scouting has to offer and that the Scout Group caters for young people aged 5 ¾ - 8 (Beaver Scouts), 8 – 10 ½ (Cub Scouts) and 10.5 to 14 (Scouts). Come along and see for yourself what scouting has to offer- All we ask is that you complete and bring along the registration form and ensure every child attends with an adult (over 18).      Adventure for all Scouting is for everyone and it’s not just young people who can get in on the action. Working alongside our youth members are thousands of adult volunteers, with a huge variety of roles and opportunities available. How much time you give is up to you, and you don’t need any previous experience. We have a huge variety of roles to suit everyone, and whatever you choose, we’ll make sure you’re properly trained and supported.  Any queries please contact Liz Curran 0753 993 5121 or email Liz.curran@scouts.org.uk . Mobile Phone Number Changed? Please keep our records up to date by letting us know if your mobile phone number has changed. We need to be able to contact you if your child is ill or to send you a text message via Parentmail if we have snowy weather. Thank you.
