Connectivity through helicopter operations

Provisions to encourage helicopter operations Revised VGF Caps for Helicopter operations under the Scheme All seats up to 13 passenger seats for Helicopters shall be considered as RCS Seats and accordingly, VGF shall be provided 10% of the estimated annual inflows in the RCF shall be earmarked for operations through helicopters Methodology for computing Flight duration for helicopters revised based on the recommendations of Expert Committee 23

Connectivity to Priority Areas

Focus on Priority Areas ‘Priority Area(s)’ include the states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh & Uttarakhand, North Eastern Region of India, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Lakshadweep Islands. Underserved Airport: Less than equal to 14 departures per week Minimum Performance Specifications: RCS Flights 3-14 departures per week Operations through Category 1-A aircraft (<9 seats) permitted only for routes connecting airports from/ to such areas In case of shortfall in available VGF amount Prioritization based on nature of connectivity (Priority Areas / unserved regions) to be applied Enhanced VGF Caps for operations through Category-1 A and Category-1 Fixed-wing aircraft for routes connecting airports from/ to such areas Helicopter operations under the Scheme limited to Priority Areas (intra) only 26
